Role: Lead Designer
Time Frame: 2 Months
Problem Statement: Current members and prospective students of Seton Hall need an easier way to obtain information about DOVE and it's volunteering events, because navigating to that info via the SHU website is difficult.
Goal Statement: To design a dedicated website for DOVE, where existing members, prospective members, and those just interested in volunteering occasionally can find all the information they need.
Research
First, we looked into how a user would go about trying to find information about DOVE from the Seton Hall Website.

We had 2 major insights:
-
The only straightforward way to the DOVE portion of the website is to search for DOVE in the search bar.
-
The information architecture for the DOVE pages are a little haphazard, in that it's difficult to navigate to the secondary and tertiary pages of the DOVE pages.
Then we did a survey of current DOVE members, current SHU students who weren't members of DOVE, and prospective students who were applying to colleges. From there, we determined these 3 user personas.

We then determined how to organize the information provided from the original DOVE pages on the Seton Hall website, as well as take into account the needs from our users to organize this sitemap.
